HTML5 for App Developers: PhpStorm/WebStorm

This time in the video below you will find a quick review of PhpStorm/WebStorm IDEs. As I mention in my recording this is one of those tools that I will stick with at least for now
It has really great debugging support (IMHO Firebug or WebInspector can’t even compete). Also because it is built on top of IntelliJ IDEA platform it has great code completion, rich set of refactoring features, and many others. Check out the video for more.

That looks very powerful! I must ask, is Dreamweaver no longer a contender for HTML5/JS development?

This is my personal opinion but Dreamweaver actually targets different
needs and audience. Its more of a WYSIWG tool great for designing
layouts, styling with CSS and some JavaScript where PhpStorm/WebStorm
really kicks some backside when it comes to JavaScript editing,
refactoring and debugging.

Have you looked into Komodo Edit? I’ve been using it while building a javascript/html5 app and it’s been very pleasant so far. I’ll have to give Webstorm another shot as well. Thanks!

Usually I don’t read article on blogs, however I wish to say that this write-up very pressured me to try and do it! Your writing taste has been amazed me. Thanks, quite great post.
Some food for thought there. It really makes me want to try a but harder.
