Ctrl+Shift+F for Flex Builder

with 25 comments

This is extremely cool I finally found it ;) Actually I was thinking about writing it myself. What is it? Not a big thing but as I’m coming from Java world I almost couldn’t live without it, Ctrl+Shift+F/pretty print/flex formatting plugin for Flex Builder. It’s open source and it really works great. You can grab it here.

It has quite a bit of configuration options and for sure everyone can find his style…

To use it you will find to buttons (as below) after installing it in plugins folder but you can assign Ctrl+Shift+F shortcut to run it as well.

  3. Sweet!

I can’t tell you how much I wish this were part of the Flex IDE. Adobe has got to combine the best parts of Flash CS4 and Flex Builder 3. We need the code hinting/completion from Flex and the code formatting from Flash. At least this makes Flex that much better. Now they just need to do the code complete/hinting in Flash.

    Thanks!

  7. [...] “Z palca” formatowanie można odpalić skrótem Ctrl + Shift + F - jest to sprawa “must have” … Brak komentarzy, Skomentuj [...]

  19. I found it out! Just put the .jar file in the plugins folder in your Flex folder, restart Flex, and then you can use Ctrl-shift-f and with the Flex Formatting area in Preferences – awesome!!!

    Install?

  23. Скажите, а можно ли взять новости с вашего блога? Со ссылкой на первоисточник естественно. :)

  24. Thnx! I’m also a Java developer and I just couldn’t work with Flash Builder without the formatting thingy.
